Femininity
Femininity was born the moment I first heard the intro to Madonna’s “What It Feels Like for a Girl” — a message that still rings true nearly 25 years later from the song’s debut. Released at the close of International Women’s Month, this project explores femininity beyond gender — the ways it shapes cis, heterosexual, trans and gay people, drag performers, and those who may reject or redefine it. Through photography, videography, and intimate confessions, Femininity looks at its cultural significance in a society still grappling with gender norms.
